Ahhh Sunday’s! Food, family, and nail biting. Can Tim Tebow just win 100 to nothing and make us not worry? Beside the point, Tim is a manchild. (Add it to the Tebowtionary) Literally, I just witnessed our boy Tim prove all the hater’s wrong. A battle back and forth that came down to the end, this game will be cemented in the record books for ages to come. We all love Tebow, but he wouldn’t want us to just thank him, this was a total team effort. Elvis Dumervil caused a clutch fourth quarter fumble that put the Steelers way out of field goal range. Demaryius Thomas had 204 yards receiving, including the 80 yard overtime catch for a touchdown on the first play of OT. That catch, by the way, is a new postseason overtime record for longest play.
This is a Bronco’s team that, as Head coach John Fox put it, “Didn’t reinvent the wheel, we just executed to our ability.” Will the doubt ever leave? No. Has Tebow silenced the haters for this week? You bet. The victory though, is short lived. The Bronco’s are ecstatic they won, but they know the task ahead. Next in line is the New England Patriots and their fierce, yet inconsistent, passing offense. Though if Tim can shred through the number 1 defense and number 1 passing defense at that, he can handle the patchy pat’s D. He finished with 316 yards passing…think about that. 316. 3:16. John 3:16, the verse that was searched a near 3 million times in the BSC National Championship game because Tim wore it on his eye black? Coincidence? I think not. Remember, even next week if he doesn’t throw as well, or what have you, a win will be a win. You don’t have to be pretty, to have…#TebowSwag
